The Flag Halyard Chair celebrates 75 years with new original details
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Hans J. Wegner’s iconic Flag Halyard Chair, we are proud to introduce two original additions: beechwood feet and handcrafted side cushions, inspired by Wegner’s earliest version of the chair.
The chair is now available with beechwood feet and hand-finished cushions, adding both comfort and character – inspirered by Wegner’s original design.
By reintroducing these early design elements, we pay tribute to the chair’s legacy and reaffirm its enduring relevance in contemporary furniture design.
Crafted from strong Nordic beech, the new feet offer a refined, natural finish. Each cushion is handmade in our workshop in Denmark and upholstered in Kvadrat’s Remix textile – a modern reinterpretation inspired by the cushions Wegner used in his own Flag Halyard Chair.
