Limited edition pp503 for the Tokyo exhibition

To mark the upcoming Wegner Retrospective Exhibition in Tokyo, the largest presentation of Wegner’s work ever shown in Japan, PP Møbler has created a limited edition of the pp503, also known as the Round Chair or simply The Chair.

A total of ten chairs has been crafted in smoked oak, each fitted with a nubuck leather seat and a numbered plate that highlights the exclusivity of this edition. The exhibition, opening in December 2025 at Shibuya Hikarie Hall, brings together more than 160 pieces from the Oda Collection and offers a rare insight into the depth of Wegner’s design language.

For PP Møbler, this project carries a particular significance. It reflects the long-standing partnership between Wegner and our workshop and the continued commitment to craftsmanship that defines our work.

»To me, this chair is more than an object. It is a tribute, to a craftsman, to a lifelong collaboration, and to the enduring beauty of honest work«, says Kasper Holst Pedersen, Master of Craftsmen and CEO of PP Møbler.

Each of the ten chairs has been produced in our workshop in Allerød using traditional methods that honour Wegner’s original intentions. The smoked oak brings a deep natural tone, while the nubuck leather adds a refined tactility that underscores the precision of the construction.

This limited edition pp503 will be available exclusively at the exhibition in Tokyo.
