Rare Editions
Each year, PP Møbler releases a limited number of Rare Editions — exclusive versions of Hans J. Wegner’s chairs, crafted from exceptional, rare types of wood at our workshop in Allerød, Denmark.
For 2026, the Rare Editions include five of Wegner’s most remarkable designs — the Round Chair, Cow Horn Chair, Valet Chair, Swivel Chair, and Minimal Chair.
Every chair is fitted with a discreet brass plate engraved with the model number, wood type, and edition number, underscoring its rarity and authenticity.

Limited edition pp503 for the Tokyo exhibition
To mark the upcoming Wegner Retrospective Exhibition in Tokyo, the largest presentation of Wegner’s work ever shown in Japan, PP Møbler has created a limited edition of the pp503, also known as the Round Chair or simply The Chair.
A total of ten chairs has been crafted in smoked oak, each fitted with a nubuck leather seat and a numbered plate that highlights the exclusivity of this edition. The exhibition, opening in December 2025 at Shibuya Hikarie Hall, brings together more than 160 pieces from the Oda Collection and offers a rare insight into the depth of Wegner’s design language.

The Flag Halyard Chair celebrates 75 years with new original details
PP Møbler launches pp101 – an original Wegner chair from 1953
During 3daysofdesign, pp101 was unveiled – an original 1953 design by Hans J. Wegner, brought to life for the first time based on drawings from the archive.
Wegner designed the chair as a more simple counterpart to The Round Chair (1949), aiming for a more efficient production process – without compromising his characteristic attention to proportion and detail.
A key design feature is the horizontal, curved backrest, which clearly reflects Wegner’s aesthetic and technical design language from the period.
Round Chair in a 75th anniversary edition
Hans J. Wegner first introduced the pp501 with a woven seat and back at the Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition in 1949.
In celebration of the 75th anniversary, we present a limited number of the pp501 in teak. There will be 50 of this special edition, each numbered and featuring an engraved brass plaque under the seat.
